Birch species are generally small to medium-sized trees or shrubs, mostly of northern temperate and boreal climates. The bark of all birches is characteristically marked with long, horizontal lenticels, and often separates into thin, papery plates, especially upon the paper birch. Cold-resistant, fast-growing, more immune to pests and diseases, used for reforestation, control of soil erosion, protection coverage or conservation of trees. More moist, fertile sand or loam, sowing and grafting and breeding are required.It is found in cold areas of the northern hemisphere.
Native to Russian birch is commonly known as (Russian Birch), because its texture is very close to North American cherry wood, so also called: European cherry wood.
